USHBC President Eric Stewart Featured in Hungarian Press

Eric Stewart, President of the U.S.-Hungary Business Council (USHBC) was recently featured in multiple Hungarian media outlets in regard to the U.S.-Hungary economic relationship. One topic that came up in an interview with Origio was energy. Stewart explained that “[I]t is clear that Hungary is doing its utmost to reduce its dependence on Russian gas imports, and that the United States can provide significant help to Budapest if it succeeds in establishing a direct connection with nearby LNG terminals.”

Stewart also noted the current investment environment in Hungary that has been attractive to American companies in recent years. “Much of the success Hungary has achieved recently is due to the government's commitment to supporting American investment. I like Hungarians to not only focus on bringing the next big investor here, but also to care about those who are already there, to motivate them to make new investments,” said Stewart.
