Our Mission

Established in 2015, the U.S.-Hungary Business Council (USHBC) is a private, non-profit organization aimed at facilitating and maintaining dialogue on the U.S.-Hungary commercial relationship. We provide a space for the American business community to engage with the United States and Hungary governments on issues affecting trade and investment between the two countries.

To achieve its mission, the Council hosts roundtables, policy conferences, briefings, and other major events featuring senior U.S. and Hungarian officials, academics, and business leaders.

Our Services

  • Visiting Dignitary Events: The USHBC hosts economic meetings with Hungarian officials visiting the United States. These intimate and interactive events provide members an opportunity to educate, network, and build productive relationships.

  • USG Engagement: The USHBC is a forum for briefing senior U.S. Administration officials and Members of Congress about member companies’ policy and market priorities in Hungary.

  • Business Missions: The USHBC leads annual delegations of member companies to Budapest to meet with top Hungarian officials and inform them about key challenges to foreign investment.

  • Partnerships: The USHBC works closely with the Embassy of Hungary, U.S. Embassy Budapest, and select Hungarian business groups to enhance mutual commercial interests and opportunities in Hungary.

The USHBC is a working group of the American-Central European Business Association (ACEBA). ACEBA brings together seven bilateral business councils (Czech, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine) with a platform to interact with 8 additional markets into one membership and a single point of contact for your company.
