Hungary’s Minister of National Economy, Mihály Varga, met with representatives of a dozen U.S. companies. He traveled to Washington, DC for the IMF/World Bank Fall Meeting.
The Minister touted Hungary’s strong economic performance and future priorities. He also invited the investors present to discuss barriers to increased success in his country.
At the meeting, Minister Varga invited the US-Hungary Business Council to establish a formal relationship with the Ministry of National Economy. The USHBC will begin holding quarterly meetings with Ministry staff to review specific issues affecting foreign investors in Hungary.
