Oct 16, Washington, DC – During a recent meeting, Minister of National Economy Mihály Varga invited the the US-Hungary Business Council to formalize its relationship with his Ministry. The USHBC will begin holding quarterly meetings with Ministry staff to review issues affecting American investors in Hungary.
“We look forward to regularly engaging with the Ministry on specific issues affecting our member companies and general policies impacting the business environment in Hungary,” said USHBC’s President Eric Stewart.
The quarterly meetings with the Ministry of National Economy (MNE) will likely take place in both Washington and Budapest, and also via videoconference. The new structure will complement USHBC’s ongoing relationship with Hungary’s Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Investment Promotion Agency.
